This is a commercial project in Fereshteh Street which is one of the most crowded places with narrow streets in Tehran. One of the most important issues in the project was creating an open urban space in a way that not only this space serves the building but also reads as part of the street.
In this project we aimed for making a connection between the city and the building that was provided by an urban void which had brought the urban space inside the project, therefore describes a kind of new entrance and public circulating of the building.
The design idea of volume was made through two main voids: one serves the urban space and the other is an interior void which is visible from commercial spaces of upper floors.
The diagram of the project tries to create integrated façade and exterior space by the interior area. In designing the project we have considered the commercial space of ground floor and the basement as parts of urban space. So people could directly go the roof which is a public space without entering to upper floors. This can be done by diagonal elevator that could be a new interesting experience for people.
