The functional program of the Hooshmand
eyewear shop was organized in three sections, following the longitudinal form
of the space. The three sections include: new collection (section A), optical
glasses (section B), and sunglasses (section C).
The main design concept was to define
transparency through multilayer surfaces. In each section, layers represented a
specific function. Moreover, each layer conveyed specific texture information
and the superimposition of these layers helped a better representation of the glasses.
Considering the limited available space,
maximizing the display area was of great importance. Therefore, glasses were showcased
in multilayer panels which move in rails to optimize the display space. It was
decided to keep the material palette simple to put more emphasize on the
glasses. Combination of stainless steel, wood, glass and Plexiglas provided
simple and suitable visionary effects for this project.
